2021 Dance FX Competition Team Auditions
August 12, 2021 - August 13, 2021
$25 audition fee | Sunday August 15, 8:30am-2pm. *Check your age group schedule*
*Students who participated in Dance Boot Camp (8/12-8/13) will have a discount code sent to them. You must wait for the code before registering for auditions in order to receive the discount. During auditions, you will be judged on (age appropriate) flexibility, turns, leaps, jumps, technique, and presentation of choreography. You will learn a short section of choreography for each style. Then in smaller groups you will be asked to perform the choreography given. This audition is your chance to show the instructors what you are capable of and what you can bring to our competition team. Tumble/acro skills are not required but should be shown if you have them! AUDITION/TIME SCHEDULE for 8/15:
8:30-9am Registration check in and warm-up
SESSION 1: 9-10:30am Ages 5-11 Hip-Hop Ages 11-17 Lyrical
SESSION 2: 10:30-12pm Ages 5-11 Jazz Ages 11-17 Hip-Hop
SESSION 3: 12-1:30pm Ages 5-11 Lyrical Ages 11-17 Jazz
***We are still observing our C19 protocols therefore all dancers must wear masks inside the building. Auditions are closed to participants and staff only. We ask that all parents drop off and pick up without entering the studio to help reduce the number of bodies inside***
Audition results will be emailed to all registered families on Aug 18.
