Tammy Updegrove is an accomplished artist in multiple mediums including, but not limited, to charcoals, collage, and acrylics. She has painted hundreds of murals in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. She is a published illustrator for Reading Reading Books, Endangered Animals Series, and is currently working on a new illustration project with a new publisher. She recently held a one woman art show at Yocum Institute to share her personal journey through depression and hopes to take her show and art therapy tools to colleges and mental health facilities. “I would like to share with others, the healing power of art.” Tammy has worked with the Yocum Institute for the last 10 years and she feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with all ages, from 2- 102! She enjoys helping her students explore the world of art and encourages them to discover their natural artistic abilities.
